16th International Trade Fair for Confectionery, Bakery and Gastronomy
21-24 February 2010

Concurrent exhibition is FOODAPEST international food, drink, food machine industry and
hospitability trade fair. On the four days of the exhibition you can get a hypotenuse picture of
the confectionery, the bakery, and the full Hungarian food industry, food machine industry
and gastronomic supply. You may face the domestic market-leading firms' coloured supply on
the two exhibitions.

WORLD COMPETITIONS

The UKBA will be accompnied with such a prestigious world event such as Confectioners
Junior World Cup, which is organised for the first time in hungary, at February 23-24.
Gabriel PAILLASSON the world famous French master confectioner, stated his participation
at the event.

On 22 February 2010, the initiating father and still active participant of Bocuse d'Or, Paul Bocuse will be the special guest of the competition and the related show.

At FOODAPEST the Bocuse d'Or international
cook competition's Hunarian finals will be
organised at February 21-22.

SPECTATCLE

There will be a Confectioner Product Competition and Show, a Baker Vocational and
Ornamental Work Competition, and an exhibition Kopcsik Lajos's multiple Olympic
champion's, Guiness recorder's, a master confectioner's works of art.
The Hungarian baker national team presents its most innovative bread, and -for the first
time in Hungary - The bread-basket of Europe with a diameter of 2,5 metres will be ready,
which marshals the products by the bakers.

VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Besides the world copetitions the program is supplemented with a busy and active program
series, vocational forums, workshops, for example SIAL d'Or International product
competition's domestic judging, with the involving of the audience ongoing Wine and Market
wine test, lectures about the domestic food market's competitiveness.

UKBA and FOODAPEST – where the cream of the trade is together!

CONFECTIONER'S WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP - 23-24 February 2010
In 2010 a large-scale event of major significance in confectionery will be added to the exhibition. For the very first time Hungary will host this competition organised by the International Association of Confectioners (UIPCG) in every other year.

Organised by the Hungarian Confectioners' Craft Union and HUNGEXPO C.Co.Ltd., this prestigious event will be held simultaneously with UKBA in the Fair Centre.15-18 countries will contribute teams to the championship.

NEW ENVIRONMENT
One of the most significant confectionery, bakery and gastronomy exhibitions in Central and Eastern Europe and a market leading event in Hungary will welcome exhibitors and visitors in a refashioned environment in 2010, housed in pavilion G, the most modern facility of the fair centre.

PROFESSIONALS AND CONSUMERS IN THE FOCUS
As part of the new concept, while the markedly professional character of the programmes will be maintained and reinforced, as from 2010 the exhibition will be partly open to consumers. The aim is to establish direct relationship with end users, the most significant factor in turnover increase.

A RESOURCEFUL TWIN EXHIBITION

In line with the changes in market demand, as of 2010 HUNGEXPO C.Co.Ltd.. will organise its food industrial exhibitions on the basis of a new concept: simultaneously with the UKBA exhibition the FOODAPEST International Food, Drink, Food Processing and Hospitality Trade Fair will also be organised.

The purpose of the combination of the two exhibitions is to create a large-scale programme covering the entire spectrum of food industry, also significant in terms of gastronomy, with focus on events.
